Like I mentioned earlier, there are a couple of things that I dislike
Alright back to designing or starting up your page. Most hosts will have simple built in tools to do the work for you. However I read somewhere 'Give a man a fish he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish he eats for live' You might want to pick up a few things to help you out.
Right now I'm putting together my own short tutorial to help regular people like you and me learn the simple stuff (can't run if you can't walk). So for the time being I would have to link you to 'cnet.com'. It has a wonderful little tutorial that makes it so easy you could start up you page in a day.
Plan out your site. Dont' use excessive graphics or sounds. Keep it simple but attractive. You don't want customers running away because it just takes too long to download your page. Sometimes while searching for something people end up smack in the middle of your site and may find it interesting. So ensure that you have links back to your homepage. (Remember your first page is always named 'index.html' and you link you first page to your second and so on.)( Make sure that the content of your site is not dwarfed by graphics. Take your time to ensure that everything is all right. The good thing about using free websites is that if your not happy with the results or if you've done your testing, just delete it or leave it!) After you've finished with the tutorial we move on to the moneymaking ways and means! YES!!
But there are some of you who would like to get graphics, counters etc. So I'll refer you to my 'Resource Page'
